An Operations Support Division (OSD) officer of the Sierra Leone Police identified as PC 16114 Augustine Kanja has been attacked and stabbed at rokel community, in the western area of the country.
According to Johnny Paul, the Information officer of the Kissy Police Division, Kanja who previously served as a former security to a former Inspector General of police, Mr Richard Moigbeh was allegedly attacked and beaten up by three people identified as Alpha Kamara, Abu Kamara and Samba Kamara all of Maroute village in Rokel.
The severity of the assault left him with a deep gash on his back. Authorities were alerted to the incident when it was reported at the Rokel police post shortly after midnight at 00:45 hours on 10th September.
