Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary Technical Services NICHOLAS PHIRI says Government has made progress in the implementation of the decentralization policy.
Mr. PHIRI says the increased Constituency Development Fund -CDF- is another way government has enhanced decentralization.
He says government is also enhancing the public private dialogue platform to promote development.
In a speech read for him by Local Government and Rural Development Director Planning NGOZA MUNTHALI, Mr. PHIRI said social economic development will be achieved through private sector participation.
And USAID Deputy Director of Economic Development and Environment AMANDA VAN DEN DOOL said there’s need for policy and legislative reforms that can stimulate investment and generate economic activity.
