Rivers United captain, Nyima Nwagua has called on football loving fans to pray for the team’s victory in their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso.
The Pride of Rivers will lock horns with the Burkinabes at the Stade Municipal, Yamoussoukro on Sunday.
Nwagua said the players are fully ready for the encounter but urged the fans to continue to pray for their victory in Cote d’Ivoire.
“All we need now is the prayer and support of the fans,” he told Rivers United media.
“We are fully ready for the game and the prayer will see us through in Cote d’Ivoire.
“We will try to do our best to deliver.”
