The Vanderpump Rules cheating scandal keeps getting messier and messier!
For those who aren’t in the loop about the drama, news broke on Friday that Ariana Madix broke up with her longtime boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, after nine years of dating. The reason for the sudden split? The 39-year-old reality star allegedly was having a “full-on affair” with their co-star Raquel Leviss!
And their affair is nothing new! According to a Page Six insider, the two have been “communicating inappropriately for months.” In fact, an insider told People on Friday night that Raquel and Sandoval have been seeing each other for more than six months! They said:
“This has been going on for upwards of 6 months — all the while, Tom was sleeping next to Ariana in bed. She was completely blindsided by this; devastated doesn’t even scratch the surface of how she feels. This is someone she thought she knew; someone she planned to spend the rest of her life with. You can’t even put into words that betrayal.”

Another insider confirmed to Page Six that their relationship “began last summer” – and Raquel “has slept over Tom and Ariana’s house when Ariana’s been out of town.” What the f**k?! Their VPR co-star James Kennedy even backed the reports in a direct message sent to the celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi, saying the affair started “7 months” ago. This would have placed the start of their romance in July 2022 – which is a month before Raquel hooked up with Sandoval’s best friend and business partner, Tom Schwartz, at Scheana Shay and Brock Davis‘ wedding!
To make matters worse, the 31-year-old DJ – who was previously engaged to Raquel – claimed the two would get together at Ariana and Sandoval’s home in Los Angeles while “Ariana [was] sleeping.” WHAT?! But how did the 37-year-old bartender eventually find out about this affair? While supporting her ex-boyfriend’s band, Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras, at a show in El Lay on Wednesday, everything seemed fine between them at first. People even reported that eyewitnesses caught them kissing at one point, with a second source saying:
“She was supporting his new single. She had no idea any of this was happening behind her back.”
However, the night soon took a turn when Ariana saw a “selfie video sexual in nature” on his phone. She then scrolled through his cell and discovered a ton of inappropriate texts. Following his performance, the pair immediately left the venue – and they broke up shortly afterward. So, so awful…
Meanwhile, Raquel and Scheana appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that same day, during which the former pageant queen admitted Sandoval was the hotter Tom and defended kissing Schwartz. She said at the time:
“I’m just trying to live my life and I’m sorry if that offends people but it’s not going to stop me from doing what I’m going to do.”
Yikes. That did not age well. After the show, a third source revealed to People that Raquel confessed to Scheana about her affair with Sandoval – and the momma of one was not happy about it, considering she’s close with Ariana:
“Scheana was furious. She and all the Vanderpump Rules costars have rallied around Ariana during this time. They can’t believe Raquel would do something like that.”
Bravo fans are even stunned by Sandoval and Raquel’s actions!
