Kaizer Chiefs vs Sekhukhune United: Latest team news!

Dec 12, 2021

Kaizer Chiefs welcome Sekhukhune United to the FNB stadium for a blockbuster DStv Premiership clash this evening.

The Glamour Boys have been out of action for the previous two match-days due to a surge in COVID-19 cases at Naturena.

Despite not featuring in recent weeks, Kaizer Chiefs still find themselves in a healthy position on the DStv Premiership log standings.

The Amakhosi sit in fifth position on the DStv Premiership log standings, just one point behind second placed Orlando Pirates.

Sekhukhune United on the other hand sit in third position and are level on points with the Buccaneers. A win today will see them move up to second position.

Zwane wary of dangerous Sekhukhune United

“Sekhukhune are second on the log and they are not there by fluke. They work hard for each other and they have some good individual players in their team.” Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Arthur Zwane said.

“One of them is Prince Nxumalo. They are a team who defend deep, looking to catch you on counterattacks. They have very quick players and they are fast in transitions and they are a very well-structured team.

“Sekhukhune United have players who are not scared to take on the opposition in one on one situations. They also have the ability to play in good crosses into the penalty box. Kaizer Chiefs will be ready for the threat that they pose.”
