Kaizer Chiefs still hold ONE record that Mamelodi Sundowns did not break!

Defending DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns have been in record-breaking form in the 2021/22 season.

However, there is one record – belonging to Kaizer Chiefs – which they did not break this campaign.

Amakhosi hold the record for the most clean sheets at the halfway mark (15 matches) of a 16-team PSL season with 13.

After 15 matches this season, Mamelodi Sundowns boast 12 clean sheets.

The Tshwane giants are well on their way to winning a fifth consecutive title and a 12th overall since the PSL era kicked off in the 1996/97 season.

Mamelodi Sundowns lead by 14 points

Mamelodi Sundowns have 37 points thanks to 11 wins and four draws.

They are a yawning 14 points ahead of current second-place side Orlando Pirates, although the Soweto side have played one fewer match.
