Summer hit loading: Master KG teases new track with local stars [watch]

Just like most local artists, Master KG is gearing up for a summer of hot tunes. The Jerusalema hitmaker teased a new track on social media featuring two rising South African musicians. Could the 25-year-old musician take over the festive season with this banger?

Master KG landed in South Africa in September after a successful Europen tour. The musician who recently won male artist of the year at the VN Global Media awards, performed in Switzerland, Spain, France, the UK, Ireland and Sweden. 

As soon as he arrived in Johannesburg he decided to spoil himself with an R28 000 jacket at the Diesel store in Sandton City, Johannesburg.

“I came back from tour with a couple of Euros and I went straight to Sandton Diesel to get some Drip… #WeBack.”


The award-winning musician took to Instagram on 28 October to tease a new summer hit featuring singer-songwriter Nkosazana Daughter and Basetsana Kolwane who made the top 16 of Idols SA season 13 in 2017. The track also features Obeey Amor. 

The 37-second teaser has already received plenty of praise with producer DJ Fortee already claiming that Master KG is set to take over the festive season. Master KG’s fans filled the comments with fire emojis!

Master KG and Makhadzi have moved on from their romantic relationship and decided to be “brother and sister“. “We are cool. He’s my brother, I’m his sister, we agreed on that,” she said. 

Speaking on her relationship with the musician she praised the Skeleton Move hitmaker for encouraging her to make music in her mother tongue, Venda. Master KG surprised Makhadzi at a recent gig and he brought the Limpopo-born musician to tears. The two were simply electric on the stage together.

“Pulled a surprise on Makhadzi,” wrote Master KG.
