Chiefs sent back Samir Nurkovic so that he could attend to urgent family matters but it has been REVELEAED that there are more reasons he is staying in his home country.
NURKOVIC RETURNS TO SERBIA
Nurkovic’s father is sick which was the reason the Serbian was allowed to return to his native country.
According to The Citizen website,”The Serbian has been allowed to go back home to attend to family issues while he recovers and he could be back only next year, according to sources“, the source stated.
TWO AMAKOSI PLAYERS UNDERGOING REHABILIATAION
This means that Nurkovic is undergoing his rehabitation in Serbia. Much like his Amakhosi teammate, Leanardo Castro is doing in Columbia.
Stuart Baxter has shown his full support behind the medical staff of both nations taking care of his Amakhosi stars. Baxter backs the facilities available to his players in Serbia and Columbia, respectively.
OTHER REASONS FOR NUROVIC’S RETURN HOME
“The other thing the team noticed is that he was unwell, he was not the same and it is believed that it could be because he has not had much time with family since joining the club, Stated a source.
“So it was decided that he should head home and spend time with family so he could also destress and come back fresh and ready to fight for his place,” said the source.
He needs time to destress as he recovers and takes care of his father.
Missing game time in SA made Nurkovic very stressed, he was also missing his family, having not seen them for months. The Amakhosi striker is fighting hard to return to Naturena.
Nurkovic will not feature against Stellenbosch FC today or the massive Soweto Derby at the FNB Stadium on Sunday.
Kick-off is at 15:30
