American rapper Cardi B revealed that Tiger King star Joe Exotic wrote her a letter to get him out of a prison, via a tweet on 28 October.

WHO IS JOE EXOTIC?

Netflix released the official trailer for a second season of one of the most talked about documentaries of 2020, Tiger King. The documentary was released on 20 March 2020 just a week before South Africans went on their first-ever lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Joe Exotic is a big cat enthusiast.

Many countries across the world were also on lockdown. This led to Netflix users binging the docu-series and discussing their thoughts on social media.

Following the first season, Joe Exotic was sentenced to total of 22 years in prison for orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot to kill his arch-nemesis, animal activist Carole Baskin.

“With Joe Exotic behind bars and Carole Baskin closing in on ownership of his disreputable zoo, the Emmy-nominated saga continues its twisted course with ‘Tiger King 2’ as newfound revelations emerge on the motivations, backstories, and secrets of America’s most notorious big cat owners,” reads the description of Tiger King 2.

“Old enemies and frenemies, including Jeff Lowe, Tim Stark, Allen Glover, and James Garretson return for another season of murder, mayhem, and madness. Thought you knew the whole story? Just you wait,” the description continues.

JOE EXOTIC TO CARDI B: ‘BE MY HERO, GIRL’

Following the release of the trailer of Tiger King 2, Joe Exotic has called on Cardi B to get him out of prison. The rapper reshared a tweet of a letter from an unverified Joe Exotic account.

“When you see the truth in Tiger King 2, I need you to rally everyone together to be my voice of freedom. Be my hero, girl,” read the letter.

When posting a snap of the letter, Cardi B questioned whether that was the real Tiger King.

“Wait is this the real tiger king?” she tweeted.

Netflix also sarcastically commented on the post. The streaming platform asked whether Twitter is available in prison.
