Kaizer Chiefs attacker Keagan Dolly has revealed that the Soweto giants were the only team he had his heart set on joining.
Dolly was linked with a number of clubs both locally and abroad as his well-documented struggles at Montpelier continued last season.
Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns were among the teams reported to be interested in Dolly, but it was Chiefs who surprisingly pulled it off.
And Dolly, has now revealed in an interview with Metro FM, that he actually knew long before he returned to South Africa that Chiefs would be his home.
Dolly said he spoke to Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung prior to his return to the PSL, and that there no any other options except the offer from Naturena.
“To be honest, there weren’t any other options (in terms of clubs that were interested) . I spoke to Bobby long before I came back to South Africa and I made up my mind that will play for Chiefs,” said Dolly.
Furthermore, Dolly said what made it even easier for him to join Chiefs was the offer put on the table by the club.
“I was happy with what they offered me as well,” added Dolly.
Dolly is proving to be a great addition to Chiefs having scored thee goals and assisted in a further four in nine competitive matches thus far.
The left-footer has also done enough to earn a call-up back into the Bafana Bafana setup after being overlooked for a number of months.
