Liverpool and Egypt superstar Mohamed Salah has made history by becoming the first away player to score a hat-trick at Old Trafford since 2003.
This happened as Salah netted three times against Manchester United in Liverpool’s 5-0 league win on Sunday afternoon.
Salah has become the first away player to score a hat-trick at Man United since Ronaldo Souza dos Santos (Brazil) did 18 years ago.
Ronaldo achieved this record whilst on the books of Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League in 2003.
Salah’s latest feat has undoubtedly made him a strong contender for the Ballon d’Or, as the era that was dominated by both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi appears to be coming to an end.
This season only, the Egyptian attacker has netted 15 official goals in 12 official games for Liverpool, making him their deadliest attacker to date.
