Hugh Bladen latest health update: ‘Doing well in rehab’

Renowned South African rugby commentator Hugh Bladen is reportedly “doing well in rehab” after suffering at least TWO strokes in the space of a week earlier this month.

The owner of arguably the most famous voice in South African rugby, Bladen, now 76, was initially hospitalised having suffered a ‘mild’ stroke.

However, shortly after returning home, he suffered a setback with a second, more severe stroke on Monday, 11 October.

He was once again hospitalised.

Bladen’s fellow commentator, Andy Capostagno, took to Twitter on Saturday to provide an update on ‘Uncle’ Blades, writing: For everyone who showed such touching concern for Hugh Bladen, he is doing well in rehab.

The South African website wishes Hugh Bladen a speedy recovery and years of good health ahead.
